TEACH FOCUS: Create multi-team or multi-goal activities where players must scan for and focus on teammates, opponents and goals while blocking out other distractions.

GAMES UNDER PRESSURE: Introduce scenarios for players to practice under pressure like the popular football 2-minute drill. In soccer, add pressure with tighter time, space, touch restrictions and imbalanced numbers.

CONTROL EMOTIONS: Teach players to identify negative self-talk, replace with positive and instructional self-talk. Coach's positive feedback is best for emotional control.

TEST PLAYER EFFORT THROUGH SOCCER FITNESS: Create games like All Up In Attack, Man to Man Marking, Big Field Scrimmage to name a few can set specific fitness standards for the team.
